I went for dinner with 2 friends last week, Shannon Hunter and Casie Stewart – and we got on the topic of being strong, and negativity. Casie told us about something her Mom has always told her.
“The trees with the fruit are going to be the trees that people throw rocks at, because they want to get the fruit. Not the ones that have no fruit to offer.” – and really, that’s life.
The trees, or people, that have something bountiful to offer are of course going to be the ones that people throw stones at. It’s an unfortunate reality. But I love my “fruit” and love that I am friends with so many other fruit trees who are keeping strong, and beautiful, together.
